Privacy policy

At PlayDart, privacy is not an option. This page explains, in plain language, what data is processed, why, and what your rights are. The data controller is NOMANEZ (see legal notices).
1. The principle: a gaming service, protected data
PlayDart works with an account. Your game data (matches, scores, statistics, drills, friends, rankings, settings) is stored securely on our servers, hosted by OVH in France (European Union), so you can access it from all your devices and play online. A copy may be cached on your device to work largely offline. We only process data necessary for the service and never use it for advertising purposes.
2. Account and synchronisation
Creating an account requires your email address (login) and a password. Your email, matches and statistics are processed on our servers solely to provide the service (scoring, stats, online matches, rankings, cross-device sync). Legal basis: performance of contract (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR). Data is hosted by OVH, within the European Union (France).
3. Pixar-style avatar: your photo is not stored
If you generate an avatar from a selfie, your photo is used only for the time needed to create the stylised avatar, then it is not stored. Only the generated avatar (an illustration) is saved to your profile. We do not store your real photo and do not use it for any other purpose.
4. Online play and friends
When you play online, organise a tournament or add friends, the information required for the match (username, avatar, current scores, ranking) is shared with the relevant participants. No data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
5. Notifications
Notifications (game invitation, your turn to play) are only activated with your explicit consent, requested by the browser. You can disable them at any time in the application or in your device settings. No marketing notifications.
6. Audience measurement (website and application)
To measure the traffic on playdart.app and the application, we use a first-party internal audience measurement tool: an anonymous identifier is placed in your browser (cookie pd_vid) to count visitors and page views. This data is processed on our own servers (OVH, European Union), is never shared with third parties, is not used for any advertising or profiling, and does not allow any cross-site tracking. This measurement, strictly limited to monitoring our own service, falls within the consent exemptions recognised by the CNIL; you may opt out by blocking cookies in your browser. No third-party trackers (advertising, social networks, Google Analytics) are used.
7. What we do not do
- No advertising in the application.
- No sale or commercial sharing of your data.
- No advertising profiling.
- No retention of your selfie after the avatar is generated.
8. Retention periods
Your account data, match history and statistics are retained for as long as the account is active, then deleted within a reasonable period after closure. You can delete your data at any time from within the application.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. For any request: contact@nomanez.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.
10. Minors
PlayDart is a leisure game suitable for all ages. For minors, use is under the responsibility of a parent or guardian, who may create and manage the account.
11. Updates
This policy may be updated as new features are added. The update date at the top of the page is authoritative.
