How does PlayDart track scores?
You play on a real dartboard and PlayDart acts as your scorer. Enter your darts one by one, or the whole turn at once (e.g. 140). The app calculates the remaining score, detects busts, tells you which double to finish on (checkout) and announces the winner.
Which games are available?
X01 (301, 501, 701 or a custom score, with double-out, master-out or straight-out, double-in, legs and sets), Cricket (standard, cut-throat, no-score) and fun games such as Around the Clock, Shanghai and Half It.
Can I practise on my own?
Yes. Guided drills (doubles round, 100 darts on T20) with live stats, and a bot opponent at three levels so you can play a proper match even when no one else is around.
Can I play with others or online?
Yes: local matches (multiple players passing one phone around), online matches (each player on their own phone), a local knockout bracket tournament, plus friends and invitations.
Does it work offline, and on which devices?
PlayDart is an installable app (PWA) on iPhone and Android — no app store required — and works largely offline. The interface is available in French, English, Spanish, German and Dutch, and automatically follows your phone's language.
Is it free, and what happens to my avatar photo?
PlayDart is free and ad-free, with data hosted in Europe. The Pixar-style avatar is generated from a selfie, but your photo is never stored: it is used only to create the avatar, then immediately discarded. Advanced options may come later, always ad-free.
